The Origin of Wind Beneath My Wings

In this Land of Opportunity, there are millions of our fellow Americans who are in despair and impoverished. They are the ill, the homeless, the mentally damaged, the hungry, the jobless, the abortion minded, the financially demolished, the abused, the addicted, the orphaned and the disabled.

The Good News is that there are worthy Non-Profit Organizations in communities across this great country comprised of committed volunteers who are dedicated to helping these neighbors of ours. However, it is becoming a vast financial struggle for these worthy organizations to raise sufficient funds, in this economy, to impact these hurtful problems of our society.

Wind Beneath My Wings was originally incorporated in 1996 as The National Children's Foundation. Due to the financial stress of the current economy upon worthy charities, the mission was enlarged in 2009 to include the types of charities in the current mission statement. The name was also changed to Wind Beneath My Wings to be in line with the current mission of supporting such charities.

Our Mission

WBW is a fund-raising and counseling organization founded to assist Non-Profit Organizations across the State of Florida. Later, we envision the work of Wind Beneath My Wings to expand to assist such organizations throughout our great country. The missions of such organizations assisted by WBW must be to assist the Needy and Unfortunate fellow Americans.

Wind Beneath My Wings provides financial support and free business counseling seminars to its endorsed associations. Our Board of Trustees is dedicated to improving the efficiency and financial stability of these committed and worthy Non-Profit Organizations.
